Vegas - Great Grandma

The boys and I drove to Las Vegas to see family back in April and I realized I never posted pictures from that trip. These pictures were taken at my Uncle Dave's house. These are photos I know I will treasure always. My grandma is a very special person in my life and I thank God often for giving my boys the opportunity to met her. She is amazing, I love you grandma.

Belated Mother's Day Gift

So Mark and I aren't big on gift giving for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, or Father's Day. We feel they are holidays that should just be spent with each other and our boys. Nothing special. After thinking about it though I realized my husband has spoiled me for the last two Mother's Days. Last year I received a rockin' camera lens. This year I got a new table off Craigslist. I'm so excited about it. We sold our table when we left AZ and have been using our folding table and chairs. Don't get me wrong they serve the purpose great but I was ready for a table again. I found this table on Craigslist for the same amount that we sold our last table. So I feel it was a wash but this table is worth so much more and we got 2 more chairs. I love it.

Red Rock Trail

On Sunday we decided to go for a like hike (walk) in Boulder on the Red Rock Trail. It was a great morning for a hike. Weston did a great job leading the pack in the hike. Tanner did awesome in his first time in the back pack. We are looking forward to many more hikes.

Sand Time

We had great weather here yesterday so we went out and enjoyed some time at the park. We bought this bucket of sand toys at Costco for $10. I thought it was a great deal and the things were a little different than other sand toys I saw out there. Of course, my boys always love the swings. I look forward to lots of time spent at the park and in the sand. :)

Hot Air Balloons

On Saturday morning we got up really early to go see Hot Air Balloons Launch at a Golf Course. Due to the damp weather the event was cancelled and I was a bit bummed because we woke the kids up (and our guests) at 5:30 to head out to the event. Everyone handled it well and it was not a surprise since we had rain the night before too. We then headed to breakfast and went on to enjoy the rest or day at the Erie Town Fair.

But this morning the boys woke up at 7:00 and this is what we saw out our back window.

They had a 2nd launch this morning and not as many go up but I think we counted a total of 30 in the air. I was so excited that Weston got to see them and we didn't have to leave the house.

Skydiving

Today Mark and Christina (Mark's sister) went skydiving in Longmont, CO. Christina's has had a desire to try it and Jon, her boyfriend, gave her a skydiving trip for her birthday. They were kind enough to treat Mark for his birthday. I have no desire to do it and I think it's great Mark was able to it with his sister. I don't think it's something they'll be doing again but they are both happy they did it. I really enjoyed watching them jump and seeing the excitement in Weston.

When they were done Weston said, "I want to do that". Maybe in a couple of years dad could go with him. Until then we'll try SkyVenture first. 

Tanner was more interested in watching the guys gearing up on the ground and ready for a nap. :) (This is a half smirk, not a grumpy face. He waited very patiently.)

I am happy all went well. It made me nervous but I am also happy they both did it. I'm very happy to have my husband home safe and sound. 

Train Gift

Tanner thanks you so much for his new train. He loves it!!! He loves putting the blocks in the top of the train and they shoot into the back of the train. He is into a new phase of putting toys inside of boxes and things. I find "little people" in the oddest places. :) I can tell the train is going to be loved by both boys.
